02. Dr. Anderson

Dr. Anderson

Dr Sylvia Anderson graduated in medicine from Queens’ University Belfast in 1994. Following this she worked in a variety of hospital jobs in both Northern Ireland and Scotland. After completing speciality exams in General Practice she gained further experience working overseas for three years. As well as maintaining her interest in women’s health, she is carrying forward her commitment to Occupational Medicine and is currently progressing her medical skills and expertise. She works part-time in Independent Occupational Health.

04. Dr. Currie

Dr. Currie

Dr Peter Currie qualified as a medical practitioner in 1982 and gained widespread experience in medical practice before entering general medical practice as a principal in 1992.  He then undertook further training in occupational health and gained the Diploma in Occupational Medicine, with the Astra Zenica award for top 3 in UK in 1999.

He continues to hold a Hospital Practitioner post in NHS Occupational Medicine and undertakes part time practice in Independent Occupational Health.

05. Dr Jenkinson

Dr. Jenkinson

Dr William Jenkinson has over 20 years experience of working in occupational medicine and 30 years experience since graduation.

He has general interests in all areas of occupational health including assessment of vibration exposed workers, employees exposed to lead and ionising radiation.  He has many years experience in manufacturing, engineering and working with emergency service personnel.  He is authorised to undertake ENG1 medicals for the MCA.

Dr Porter

Dr Sarah Porter graduated in medicine from the University of Aberdeen in 2003. She then worked in a variety of hospital jobs to gain broader experience, before completing vocational training in General Practice in 2009. Whilst working as an occupational physician for the civil service she undertook further training in Occupational Health, gaining the Diploma in Occupational Medicine in 2014. At present, she is undertaking additional postgraduate training in occupational health through the University of Manchester. She continues to work part-time in General Practice in addition to Occupational Health.

Dr Turner

Dr Turner

Dr Debbie Turner qualified in Medicine in 1985 and undertook specialist training qualifying in General Practice in 1990 before moving into the field of Occupational Health over 20 years ago. She is an Accredited Specialist and Member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.


She initially worked for 20 years as a police surgeon and hospital practitioner in Geriatric and Rehabilitation Medicine alongside her Occupational health work retiring from these roles in 2005.


Dr Turner has experience across a wide range of Occupational Health practice including Health Care, Public Sector, Finance and Banking, Education, Engineering, Manufacturing and a range of other small and medium business enterprises. She also has a special interest in the provision of Pensions advice.

Nursing Team

0.2 Michaela McCall

Michaela McCall - Occupational Health Adviser

Michaela has over 25 years of nursing experience working within many arenas-NHS, Private and Industry. She has been working within the field of Occupational Health for 8 years where she is able to utilise her previous knowledge within this Specialist domain. To compliment further, Michaela has the NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and NEBOSH Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-Being at Work. She has an interest in HAVS and counselling.

001. Julie Robinson

Julie Robinson - Deputy Occupational Health Manager

Julie Robinson has over 20 years’ experience in Occupational Health nursing. On completion of her general nurse training, she worked in community nursing for several years.

Her experience in Occupational Health began in manufacturing industry. Julie gained further experience in Occupational Health both in the public and private sector. She completed a Specialist Community Public Health and Occupational Health nursing course and has undertaken numerous short courses relevant to Occupational Health.

01. Karen Brown

Karen Brown - Nurse Manager

Karen Brown has 25 years experience in Occupational Health Nursing. After completing her general nurse training she went on to work in manufacturing industry where she took her degree course in Occupational Health. Following this she studied for a post graduate diploma in Health Promotion and completed a NEBOSH certificate, along with various other short courses relevant to Occupational Heath.

Her workplace experience includes manufacturing, higher educational environments, financial institutions, SME’S transport and public sector bodies.

03. Anna Diamond

Anna Diamond - Occupational Health Adviser

Anna Diamond has currently consolidated 10 years’ experience in Occupational Health Nursing.   After completing her general nurse training and subsequently completing her midwifery training she worked in general nursing and midwifery for several years.  She first gained experience in Occupational Health for a manufacturing company approximately 14 years ago.  She continued to gain Occupational Health experience in both public and private sectors prior to undertaking a degree course in Occupational Health.  Anna has completed various short courses relevant to Occupational Health including Hand and Arm vibration (HAV’s).  

04. Edel McCullough

Edel McCullough - Occupational Health Adviser

Edel McCullough has 12 years experience in Occupational Health Nursing. After completing her general nurse training she worked in general nursing for several years before undertaking a degree course in “Professional Development in Nursing” with a Diploma in Occupational Health. She has gained experience in the public, private sector and manufacturing industry. Edel has completed various short courses relevant to Occupational Health including Travel Health.

07. Ann Silvester

Ann Silvester - Occupational Health Nurse

Ann Silvester has 11 years Occupational Health experience.  After completing her general nursing training she worked in a medical ward before completing her midwifery training and working as a midwife.  Ann worked in care of the elderly before moving into Occupational Health.

She continues to develop her professional skills by attending courses relevant to Occupational Health.

Sandra Lynas

Sandra Lynas - Occupational Health Adviser

Sandra Lynas has over 25 years nursing experience in NHS, private sector, industry and general practice. She has worked in IOH since 2011. She graduated in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) in Professional Development in Nursing with a Diploma in Occupational Health and to enhance this further she completed the NEBOSH certificate in Health and Safety Management. Sandra has vast experience and knowledge in travel health and has an interest in women’s health obtaining a Diploma in breast and cervical screening. Sandra continues to keep herself updated with current developments in occupational health and nursing arena and also works part-time in general practice.

Admin Team

02. Melanie Bird

Melanie Bird - Administrative Supervisor

Melanie has been working with IOH Ltd since 2007. During this time Melanie has completed an HNC in Business. Melanie initially started as an Admin Officer and progressed to Admin Supervisor. Melanie contributes to the overall Supervision of the Admin Team and helps ensure that we continue to provide the best possible service to our Customers. Melanie has extensive Administrative experience in the Industry and has worked for many large companies including British Airways.  

04. Holly Clarke

Holly Clarke - Administrative Officer

Holly had a wealth of experience in reports administration which was gained from working Private Healthcare Company, GP Surgery, Civil Service and an Insurance Company. Holly has worked in all areas of administration with IOH Ltd and is adaptable to the needs of our contracts.

06. Elizabeth Faver

Elizabeth Faver - Audio Typist

Elizabeth(Liz)has been working with the Company since 2011. Liz initially commenced as a Receptionist but gradually began taking on more responsibility. Liz completed her course in Audio Typing and now completes the majority of our Reports. Liz has extensive administrative experience throughout her career and previously worked for Leicestershire & Rutland Federation of Women’s Institutes prior to coming to NI. Liz is a great advocate for the professional service that we provide to our Customers and continues build on her knowledge of the key contracts that we manage.
